The Bishop- Museum of Science and Nature

Complete planetarium interior demolition, fire restoration, and new construction of administrative offices, classrooms, museum display area, and upscale formal lobby. Included new exterior facade, gathering area and entries.

Gulf Waterways exhibit & 2nd floor museum renovation included HVAC replacement, fire sprinklers & elaborate interior finishes. This also required reworking of the high-tech mechanical systems for the Manatee tanks. Major coordination with Museum curators was required for artifacts safe keeping during renovation & new exhibit building.  Planetarium Theater dome was rebuilt with state of the art screen, equipment & seating.

Safety and noise were a major concern while museum was open to the public during the entire project as well as dust control in order to keep the museum articles safe. Coordination with building committee and curators over the phased project was essential to achieve the fabulous end result.   Project completed ahead of schedule under tight time constraints, and under budget.
